Phil Keen the Driver
Phil started karting at the age of eight and progressed from cadets through junior karting and eventually racing in the senior class. Winning over one hundred trophys and several championships, mainly with ARC karts, with whom we still have a close relationship

At the age of 17, Phil progressed from this class into the BARC formula Renault Series, where he finished second in the Championship, only losing out by 2 points

During the latter part of 2002, Phil was offered a guest drive in the TVR Tuscan Challenge, where he finished 6th in his first race, and was up to 4th in the 2nd race before the car broke down. He recorded such success the team decided to purchase a TVR Tuscan Racer and compete in the 2002 series.

We were fortunate to have the support of Kenmore homes, Zenith builders and Taylors Racing Service, without whom we could not have successfully raced and achieved 3rd place in the championship. We believe Phil is the youngest competitor to have raced a full year in the series, and achieved the highest place in his first year.

The Future

To compete for the championship title in 2004, and to go on to race GT cars some time in 2004, and to complete a full series in 2005.

Phil is a highly motivated 20-year old who is totally committed to his racing. He is superbly fit and has a great understanding of the race car.
